The 21st century tale of Love Me, Love My Dog

Ms. Karishma Walia deserves more than just a tiny mention in journals. We are tempted to regard her as a messiah of pets after she shared her WhatsApp conversation with a prospective groom on Facebook recently. The man in question was supposedly an eligible match for this Bengaluru girl as arranged by her parents. Basically what was posted on social media was a bite of an argument that ensued between Karishma Walia and the sought after bachelor who clearly stated his disapproval for the damsel’s adorable pet dog, Lucy. Ms. Walia is currently based out of Gurgaon and works as an analyst with Deloitte India.

The suitor’s only folly was his dislike for dogs. His persuasive statements to Karishma to abandon her one year old dog Lucy were met with stubborn retorts by her. Karishma was quick to clarify that leaving her pet dog behind after marriage was not an option. She stuck to her guns, making it clear to the boy as well as her family that marriage was not going to happen unless she can take the pet dog along with her post-matrimony.

The suitor rejected Lucy the dog and in return faced rejection by Karishma, a true animal lover by all means. She turned down the marriage proposal to withhold her love for her four legged loyal companion.
