Chamcham was adopted by an office in Mumbai almost 9 years ago and is dearly loved & taken care by its staff. A couple of months back Chamcham suffered not one but three fractured bones in one of her hind legs as a car drove over it, accidentally. The employees at the Viacom 18, Vile Parle office left no stone unturned to bring back their resident pet/companion back to her chirpy form. Her crushed leg required an immediate surgery that would cost fifty thousand rupees and the professional care thereafter including medication that she would require was going to add to this expense, bringing the total to a lakh of rupees. The initial treatments were funded by individual employees as the amount of money was small, however an x-ray highlighted the inevitable need for an orthopedic surgery and proper post operative care. To save Chamcham’s leg employees got together to raise said funds through a crowd-funding platform named Ketto.
