Follow & LikeIn an unparalleled Act of Kindness, Pet Friendly Hotel, Hyatt, Orlando, opened its doors to more than 900 dogs and other pets along with their humans who were asked to evacuate their homes in areas that were likely to be affected the most by the Hurricane Irma that hit Florida recently.
They altered their pet policies and introduced more lenient changes in it. Katie Satava, marketing manager at the Hotel spoke about how the pet friendly hotel lessened the usual cleaning charge of $150 (levied on guests with pets) to $50 during the time of hurricane Irma.
It was a full house at the hotel, with playful rumbling, wagging dog tails and stress-free individuals. Who would have imagined an evacuation drive would turn into a mini-vacation of sorts. This hotel has been such a positive force to be reckoned with and truly deserves the thumbs-up for saving and adding grace to so many human and animal lives.

People staying at Hyatt (Orlando) lauded the efforts of the management for offering exceptional hospitality and bending their rules to safeguard the interests of not just humans but their furry mates as well.
The five star property has set such a precedent that may be hard to even replicate as sadly most hotels, especially in Asia, don’t allow pets. Let’s just hope more establishments/inns become pet friendly and successfully match this dedication towards animals in good and bad times.
