Anatolian Shepherd Dog is native of Turkey, and was bred as a livestock guardian and shepherd's companion. He was bred to resemble the color and size of the livestock that he defended so that predators won’t detect this dog among the flock. These dogs are fiercely loyal guarding dogs, weighing 120 to 150 pounds when they get maturity.
