The Himalayan rabbit's coat is short, shiny and silky. The body is white as snow and the extremities are dark (nose, ears, tail, legs and feet), and can vary between black, blue (diluted black), chocolate or lilac (diluted chocolate color).
As it is a short-coated breed, it does not need constant brushing. Once a week is enough to remove dead hair and dirt. During shedding season, brushing frequency should increase to two or three times a week. The other necessary care is the same for any rabbit.
