Its coat is short, dense and soft. The fur can measure between 1.3 and 2.5 cm in length. It presents several varieties of coloration such as white with red eye (Ruby-eyed white), white with blue eye (Blue-eyed white), black, blue, chocolate and broken (white with spots in the other accepted colors of the breed).
As it is a short-haired breed, brushing once a week is enough to remove the loose hairs and keep the coat soft and shiny, but during the shedding seasons, the ideal is to brush it at least twice a week. The other care is the same for any rabbit, but when purchasing one as a pet, it is recommended to consult a doctor who specializes in non-conventional pets (wild and exotic) to obtain information on how breed it properly and know the particularities of the species.
