Coat

The Wheaten has semi-long, soft and wavy fur. The puppies go through numerous color and texture changes until they reach this “final version” around two and a half years old. The colors can be those derived from wheat or reddish gold. As he has plenty of hair on his body, including his beard, he ends up accumulating (and also spreading) a lot of dirt around the house. A daily brushing is recommended to leave the pet clean and the hair shiny.

Taking Care of a Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier

This feed does not tolerate higher temperatures very well. So, when the heat is more intense, offer shade and fresh water for the furry to stay in good shape.
