The Singaporean's coat is very similar to that of the Abyssinian. It is smaller than average and has a color called “sepia agouti”, with a brownish dotted seal on an ivory base. Only this coat color is accepted in this pattern. The sepia-dotted coat is paler on the chin, chest, and abdomen. Each strand of the fine, soft coat has alternating light and dark stripes.
Singapore does not require much specific care. Its fur is easy to maintain, requiring brushing only once a week and it is recommended that you wear rubber gloves, as they are short-haired and you can take the opportunity to caress them. It is necessary to brush your teeth to avoid periodontal diseases. Keep the litter box clean, all cats are quite picky about this. Take your Singaporean for check-ups at least twice a year to ensure a long and healthy life.
